My story
"Born in Seoul, Korea but raised in Shanghai, I attended international schools as a norm, interacting with multiple cultures and diverse individuals. I always considered myself soft-hearted, my empathy often being a double edged sword. Around my tween years, I became exhausted. My mournful attitude only worsened once I moved back to Korea, ultimately leading to my enrollment under psychiatrical services.
Through my own healing journey, I found that mental health is not a one way road. My original diagnosis of 'depression' remained strong throughout the judgement I faced every day, but the condition was amorphous.
I am not to say that I have been 'cured' completely, considering my remaining struggle with new conditions and symptoms.
However, I am thankful for the opportunity to indulge in clinical psychology, and expand my dreams of advocation for the disabled."
